COVID-19 Safety Guidelines

Eduexplora’s Summer Programs will follow COVID-19 safety guidelines as set by the CDC, state, local and university authorities. While we are taking every possible precaution to mitigate any negative impact, there is still an inherent risk of exposure. Eduexplora will arrange accommodation and supervision for students who test positive and require quarantine during the program and up to a maximum of 3 days after the completion of the program (only if the home country or airline requires a negative covid test to enter), either at the university, hotel, or appropriate accommodation. It is important to note that any additional expenses incurred, because of a positive COVID-19 test, will be the responsibility of the participant, this includes, lodging, meals, airport transportation, airline cancel/change or unaccompanied minor fees, covid testing costs and any other fees associated with the proper care of the individual student, not anticipated to exceed $1,250 USD for the 5-day period. Expenses for the staff in charge of the quarantined student (lodging, meals, extra days of work, etc) will be covered by Eduexplora. If the student is still testing positive at day 3, it will be the parent´s or legal guardian responsibility to arrange care for the student starting day 4.

Additionally, every effort will be made by instructors and staff, for students to participate in a hybrid program and receive all materials if temporary quarantine is needed until the student is able to return to class.  Please take into consideration that the current policy is based on the most recent information provided by the host institution and is subject to change.  Eduexplora strongly recommends purchasing additional travel, trip cancellation and or “Cancel For Any Reason” insurance coverage, in the country of origin, as the best way to protect your experience against unforeseen circumstances.

All costs for health care, including hospitalization, transportation, doctor visit, prescription and over the counter drugs, and any other costs, because of covid or any other medical reason must be covered by the travel insurance and health plan, which must consider $0 out of pocket.

Year transfer won’t be accepted and refunds will not be issued if a student tests positive before their outbound flight and cannot board the plane or for any other reason. If the student cannot attend classes during the program for testing positive or in any other situation, refunds will not be issued.
