The academic programs are focused on making high school students (ages 11-17) interested in participating in a unique educational experience that will give them a better perspective about their academic future. Some of the activities include: workshops, seminars, and group projects in areas such as Business & Entrepreneurship, Design Thinking, Creative Writing, Medicine, Innovation & Creativity among others. Courses are taught by highly qualified and experienced instructors, researchers, and PhDs candidates.
As of today, more than 2,000 middle and high school students from Peru, Colombia, Mexico y Chile have participated in the following programs:
Berkeley Pre-College is an academic program aimed at students between 13 and 18 years old. As a program participant, you can choose a career path between engineering, Medicine and Business and take several courses related to the career path of your interest. In addition, you can choose an elective course to develop a personal skill, which will be useful regardless of the career you choose in the future. Berkeley Pre-College is a 2-week residential program on the University of California, Berkeley campus. This program is available for students from Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru.
The two-week academic program takes place at Yale University in July. The program offers students the opportunity to choose a field of interest and attend different couses on the selected field. Some of the academics tracks are: the STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math), Medical and Bioscience and the Humanities and Social Science program. Eduexplora at Yale seeks to give a better perspective about their academic future by focusing on student’s topics of interest. Stanford Pre-Collegiate International Institutes is an academic residential program that expands the education of skilled students. In this program, you will be able to live and explore the campus life at Stanford for two weeks. Some of the academic course are Engineering, Bioscience, Biotechnology, Creative Writing and Leadership. In addition, students will meet other students from different nationalities with the same interests and abilities. The Honors Academies brings Stanford instructors to Chile, Peru, Colombia y Mexico to share Stanford methodology and academic resources. This program includes single-subject courses that take place during the first weeks of January. Students will be able to deepen their areas of academic interest and experience Stanford worldliness. It is a two-week intensive learning program where students can select a course of your choice and explore it in detail. Participants have the opportunity to experience a world-class teaching from Oxford’s academics in their own city (Santiago or Lima) and at Oxford University as well. This program is available for students from Chile and Peru.
