This course offers students an immersive introduction to the world of investing and financial strategy through the lens of real-world decision making. From understanding the foundations of securities like stocks, bonds, and ETFs to analyzing how news affects markets, students will explore how companies raise capital and how investors build wealth.
Through interactive games, mock portfolios, and field experiences, students will step into the roles of analysts, investors, and entrepreneurs. They will meet finance professionals, simulate real-time investing, and even pitch their own portfolios in a Shark Tank style format. Along the way, students will engage in strategic thinking, teamwork, and critical reflection, gaining both financial literacy and the confidence to navigate an increasingly complex economy.

Dillon currently works at 2080 Ventures, where he conducts startup sourcing, market research, and innovation benchmarking across global sectors. A UC Berkeley graduate with a background in Economics and Data Science, Dillon blends technical insight with business instinct, bringing a unique perspective from both the founder and investor sides of the table.
