BUSINESS LAUNCHLAB
This one-week accelerator program immerses students in the world of entrepreneurship through a fast-paced, hands-on experience. From identifying real-world problems to pitching innovative business solutions, students will learn what it takes to turn an idea into a viable startup.
Through collaborative projects, they will explore essential concepts such as ideation, customer discovery, product development, and go-to-market strategy. The course emphasizes creativity, teamwork, and leadership skills that are vital for future innovators and changemakers. Students will also receive guidance on developing a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and crafting persuasive presentations for investors.
By the end of the course, participants will have gained practical experience navigating the full entrepreneurial process, understanding how to build and communicate value in a competitive market.

Amiah Sheppard

Amiah Sheppard is a venture capital and entrepreneurship expert with extensive experience mentoring and investing in early-stage startups. She oversees Blackstone LaunchPad, a global initiative funded by Blackstone, the world’s largest alternative asset manager, where she helps young entrepreneurs develop their business ideas and secure funding.
Previously, Amiah worked as an investor at Backstage Capital, supporting more than 100 startups worldwide. As founder of Sheppard Consulting Group, she advises entrepreneurs on leadership, pitching, and fundraising, combining strategic thinking with confidence-building to help innovators bring their visions to life.
