Applied Decision Science

Decision Science is a fascinating area of academic study with practical value in approaching one’s life and in working with others to achieve common goals. Decision Quality is a professional approach combining analytical aspects (finance/probability) and psychology (cognitive science/creativity/design) that evolved out of work in Decision Analysis at Stanford University and applied in business, engineering, and the military, as examples. No matter what a student’s current interests or eventual area of study and career are, exploring Decision Skills now will be of value in making sense of the world and creating one’s place within it. This course will be highly interactive with individual and group projects offering opportunities for collaboration and exploration of areas of most interest to all students, such as business, politics, STEM, medicine, and entrepreneurship.
