Nur holds a PhD in Cell Biology from Yale University. She is very excited to be part of the Bioinformatics Support Group at the Yale Cushing/Whitney Medical Library as their Simbonis Bioinformatics Fellow. Dr. Nur Rahman has more than 10 years of experience as a biomedical researcher, and while working her PhD, she developed a passion for Bioinformatic Analysis. Even though Nur’s training was purely in the biological sciences, she taught herself coding and scripting to analyze large, Next Generation Sequencing datasets to advance her research. Due to her unique "damp lab" experience (expertise in both bench-side techniques and in-silico data analyses) she has a holistic approach towards data analysis.
“This course was way better than I thought it would be. It was very interesting, fun, and interactive. I learned a lot of valuable things and really enjoyed this course in science.”
